Parental Control in WoW
Blizzard's announcement of the new Parental Control in the World of Warcraft(World of Warcraft Website -Account Management), its now possible for prospective parents to limit their son's or daughter's playtime online in the game. What is your view on this new feat by Blizzard Entertainment? Would it actually affect your gaming, or is it still a dark corner of your account management on the website that you will never likely have visited or visit yourself?wow gold

Personally, the parental controls won't effect me at all. From a broader point of view, I think it was an overall wise decision to add these controls, if only to keep kids from overplaying the game. However, I can forsee some problems with dungeons and raids, unless the timer can be temporarily suspended for such events. But I don't know how the controls work entirely, so I'm not sure if the suspension is already a part of it.

I can foresee problems with people who think they are being "parents".. Yeah herbert, I'm glad my "dad" shares the same interest .. now if he could only shut up about it and stop asking me how to get somewhere while his /played is atleast 20 times as much as mine.wow gold

Anyway, I guess this is option could be okay for parents of children that are maybe 12 or younger or something, but otherwise it's just another one those stupid control things. Instead of convincing your son/daughter not to play a game by giving him alternatives or being a bit more friendly they can just set a timer.. Isn't it great? It saves you the time from actually acting like a parent! *cough again

I'm only able to play WoW four days a week since I wasn't allowed to install the game on the laptop I'm using during my stay in Leuven, the place where I co to college. For now I totally agree with that part. I have others things to do here during the evening/night.wow gold

But I'm a bit worried for later since i will not be able to join raid runs spanned over several days ... wich brings me to the actual topic ... If your parents know nothing about the game and how it works, a parental block can get very very frustrating. I'm sure you wont find that much 12 year olds doing Molten Core raids, but at the age of 15-16 this might get you in some real fighting with your parents.

So I say, they should also give some links with information about the group happenings and the results.

And if you are still having a fight about it, just say to your father :"How would you feel if mom changed the channel 5 minuts before the end of a footballgame" I bet they will go silent after that one, and you surely can expect some looking between your parents.
